Although Exxon would have you think otherwise, The American Petroleum Institute (API) is finally admitting in their State of American Energy Report, that the future expansion of today’s fast growing solar energy market warrants serious analysis. Solar has effectively offset some 20 million metric tons of CO2 emissions in 2014; and that’s with only 20.2 GW of solar capacity. The future forecasts another 20 GW in 2015, that’s enough to power around 4 million homes!

One small step for API and old energy technology and hopefully one large step for the future of clean energy in the U.S.
