In 2002 The American Business Awards created the Stevie Awards, an international award that would recognize excellence in various aspects of business, both for individuals and teams. Since its creation, the Stevie Award has become one of the most coveted awards in the business world.

Once nominees have been selected, the nominations are reviewed by over 100 business professionals around the globe to ascertain the winners of the awards. The nominees and winners are separated out by many different categories and are then awarded gold, silver and bronze Stevie Awards.

This year Global Efficient Energy CEO Abe Issa was nominated in two separate categories; Executive of the Year – All Other Industries and Maverick of the Year – Consumer Products & Services Industries – Up to 2,500 Employees. Both categories had eight final nominees including Abe Issa.

Last week at the awards ceremony Abe Issa was awarded the Silver Stevie for both categories! We here at Global Efficient Energy and thrilled and proud that Abe is recognized not only for being a great CEO but for being a trailblazing Maverick! It’s great to see recognition for a man that is not only making solar and other energy efficient technologies readily available, but a man that is also making the world a better and cleaner place! Way to go Abe!

“It is so great to receive two Stevie Awards this last week, but to then be met with such an outpouring of support from my staff this week was the cherry on top. Thank you for the great post on the GEE’s blog! I am reporting it here too.”
