Here at Global Efficient Energy we are so much more than solar. We are a complete energy efficiency solution company and therefore appreciate any innovation and growth in the field of renewable and clean energy.

Which is why we are excited for the new ocean wind farm that has been announced in Cuxhaven, Germany.

This deal, which will be officially signed on the 13th of August of this year, will be done with Siemens and marks one of their most significant ventures to date. The project will cost €200 million and will be the first of its kind in Germany. The project is expected to begin late next year.

Such a large endeavor will be creating over 1,000 jobs in the creation of a field that will span 170,000 square meters. Germany hopes that the field will mark Cuxhaven as a global city as well as improve their energy efficient and decrease their carbon emissions.

We love to see the green energy sector creating more jobs across the world!

This also shows the continued trend of utilizing alternative space for the purpose of renewable energy. Our CEO Abe Issa had a great blog post several weeks ago about Japan utilizing former country club golf courses as solar fields. You can read that over at his personal blog.
